Shareboard

Shareboard is a social file sharing mobile app based on p2p communication which makes efficient use of network bandwidth.  Not only the underlying technology is advanced, but also Shareboard has cool user interface which provides browsing, search, download from mobile contacts. Shareboard provides features like notification, top downloads across your contacts. It allows auto share gallery and enables user to pick photo/videos easily from friend’s devices, also it respects the privacy user can always choose what to share and only shared data will be availability for respective contacts. Shareboard downloads the data from multiple peer if same file exist on more number of contacts. 

Now consumer market is moving towards handhold devices, due to increase in usage of smartphones, iphones, tabs there is really need of efficient data transfer techniques. As resources on these devices are limited any existing solution doesn't fit well. Shareboard started to deal with these limitation effectively and provide good user experience in terms of efficient bandwidth usage, better user interface.

Shareboard uses Distributed Hash Table for sharing meta data (shared files, hashes etc), with good replication factor which gurantees availablity of shared information among contacts.

Traditional solution requires server upload for data transfer which is extra step while shareboard downloads directly from the contact without involving server for actual transfer.
